Q: What is Alice in the Village?

A: We’re a whimsical Alice in Wonderland-themed retail and tea shop where teacups outnumber clocks and curiosity is highly encouraged. There’s no Queen of Hearts here—just magical merchandise and marvelous tea to-go.

Q: Are you a restaurant?

A: Oh dear, no! We don’t offer table service or full meals. Our treats and teas are all served from our enchanted “Drink Me” take-out counter. Think of us as a tea party on the run.

Q: What can I order from the counter?

A: A wonderland of drinks awaits! Choose from bubble tea, butterfly pea tea, matcha, chai, and dozens of whimsical blends. Pair it with one of our mischievous macarons or a scone so good, even the Mad Hatter would approve.

Q: Do you offer afternoon tea or high tea?

A: We used to—but alas, the Queen got too rowdy. So, no more table-side tea service. It’s all delightful take-out now.

 

Q: Do you offer mini sandwiches?

A: Not anymore. As of June 1, 2023, our little tea sandwiches have taken an extended tea break of their own.

 

Q: Do you provide entertainment or character meet-and-greets?

A: While the shop is filled with enchantment, twinkling lights, and curious décor, we don’t have costumed characters or scheduled shows. The only drama here is whether to order one scone or three.

 

Q: Do you have seating?

A: Yes, but it’s a bit of a game of musical chairs. We have a few indoor seats (first come, first sip), and plenty of outdoor spots when the weather behaves.

 

Q: Do we need reservations?

A: Not at all! Since there’s no table service, you can drop in whenever the mood for tea—or magic—strikes.

 

Q: Do you offer gluten-free items?

A: Indeed! Our macarons are gluten-free and our teas are naturally GF. We usually have gluten-free scones too—unless they vanish mysteriously (which they often do).

 

Q: Do you offer party or group options?

A: Not currently. While we love a good unbirthday party, we’re not set up for group events just yet.

 

Q: What do you sell in your retail section?

A: Treasures galore! Teas, teapots, teacups, books, jewelry, whimsical gifts, and accessories fit for any Wonderland adventurer.

 

Q: Can I shop online?

A: Not at the moment—but if the Cheshire Cat ever figures out coding, who knows?

 

Q: When is the best time to visit?

A: Weekdays tend to be more peaceful, while weekends are a bit more topsy-turvy (just how the Hatter likes them).

 

Q: What are your hours?

A: They change with the seasons and the moon. Please check our Location & Hours page before you tumble in.

 

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: As much as we’d love a tea party with flamingos, pets aren’t allowed inside due to food regulations—except for service animals, of course.

 

Q: Can I just come in to look around?

A: Absolutely. Wandering is encouraged—even if you don’t know where you’re going (that’s half the fun).

 

Q: Do you have other locations?

A: Just one for now—in magical Mystic, CT—but more may pop up like mushrooms after rain. Stay tuned.

 

Q: Do you offer franchises?

A: Not at this time. But we’re flattered you’d ask!

Q: Do you donate to charities?

A: We do! We set aside a yearly budget to support causes near our Wonderland (within 15 miles of Mystic, CT). Send us a message and we’ll do our best to help—just don’t send the Queen of Hearts.
