What to expect when visiting Alice in the Village
Alice in the Village is a unique and cozy Tea Room inspired by the classic Lewis Carroll tale “Alice adventures in Wonderland”. A whimsical wonderland experience, complete with our famous Alice falling down the Rabbit hole, awaits our customers!
We are located at Olde Mystick Village, a small 19th-century replica of a New England village where you can stroll by foot and enjoy a variety of specialty shops.
We are excited to share our love for all things tea and wonderland. Here are some things to remember when you visit us:
We are a tearoom
First thing to remember is that we are a tearoom. Our Mad Hatter Tearoom offers a full Afternoon and High Tea services and our EatMe!/DrinkMe! counter has a large selection of items to-go, including our famous Bubble Teas!
We are small so you’ll need a reservation for Afternoon Tea
Our tearoom is small and cozy. If you would like to have Afternoon Tea or High Tea with us, please make a reservation. We are not able to accommodate walk-ins for Afternoon Tea.
Of course, our EatMe!/DrinkMe! counter offers an amazing selection of items, no reservations needed! You are welcome to enjoy your snacks and drinks on the patio, but during the summer months the tables in the tea room are reserved for Afternoon Tea service only.
Can you accommodate food allergies?
Unfortunately, we are not setup to accommodate food allergies.
Our kitchen process the following allergens in our foods: wheat, dairy, Sugar, peanuts, tree nuts and others.
Other restaurants can accommodate my allergy, why can't you?
Please remember, we are not a full restaurant, we are a tea room and we do not have a full a-la-carte menu with many options like other restaurants.
Our menu only consist of Afternoon tea and High tea services and the foods can't be changed.
You are always welcome to have a nice pot of tea as our teas are gluten free, vegan, dairy free, sugar free and fat free.
We are not Disney World:
Alice in the Village has no affiliation with Disney. We are a Tea Room and we do not offer a “Disney experience” like rides or attractions.
We don’t dress like Wonderland characters:
While we find it uncomfortable to work in a costume, we are happy when customers visit us dressed as their favorite character.
We don’t have Wonderland characters to meet in the tearoom
Occasionally Alice or the Mad Hatter might drop by, but these are not daily events. You can check our event calendar and register for an event in advance.
We have a gift shop
We have a small gift shop where we offer Alice in Wonderland gifts and memorabilia and a vast selection of teas to take home with you. We do sell licensed “Alice in Wonderland” Disney products but we are not a Disney store. Our product offerings change frequently so you never know what you’ll find!
